    GOD BLESSED ME WITH A CAR AFTER 13 YEARS (BUT I WAS TESTED FIRST)

    My fiance and I were trying to do our best to turn from our partying ways by not partying, going out, and listening to secular music.

    My little brother calls me and asks me if I want to go to Chicago and tells me about Spirit airlines offering a $20 airfare, so I check it out. Turns out that Spirit does not fly to Chicago from Houston, but it does have $10 fares to Las Vegas!!! So even though my Holy Spirit was telling me (ever so softly) not to book the trip, my flesh couldn’t help checking hotel rates and found a fantastic deal on 4 star Hotels right on the strip!! So I immediately booked a 9 day vacation for the 2 of us.

    We were so excited!! My fiance had never been to Vegas and I loved Vegas!! I kept on saying “Vegas Baby, Vegas!” – I said it every two seconds for the next couple of days, I was soooooo super excited!

    That was on a Thursday. We went to church that following Saturday and the message was about passing God’s little tests. During the message I started to have the feeling that the Vegas temptation was a test that I failed wonderfully!

    Then, the one thing that they said during the message at church was that “God is not trying to take things away from you, He is trying to get something better to you.” I realized that God was not trying to kill my fun in Vegas, but that God had something better for me. I was thinking maybe he had a vacation on a tropical island that would be awesome and at the same time have no temptations like Vegas would.

    At the end of service, my fiance and I both looked at each other and said the same thing. We have to cancel the Vegas trip. We were agreed, but we did not actually do it. I was about 80% ready to cancel, but I hadn’t done it yet.

    Monday came and I still hadn’t cancelled the trip. That day THREE, not ONE or TWO, but THREE of my real estate deals DIED. And these were deals that were slam dunks, everything was done and they were ready to close no problem. By the end of the day I realized what had happened. God was showing me that I was ready for the blessings, I had failed my test. I wasn’t go to do the right thing with the money from these deals.

    So that night I called everyone that I invited on the trip and asked if they had booked their tickets, and no one had. So it was settled, I was getting ready to cancel the trip – then I got a text from the one person I hadn’t spoken to. And that is how the devil works, you make up your mind to do the right thing and then he shows up in the best way possible. The text was my buddy who was super excited because he booked his tickets and was ready to go! Now I had a huge dilemma because I would be cancelling his trip too and he would probably incur cancellation fees like I would.

    My fiance looked at me wondering what I was going to do, if I was going to do the right thing??? I did. I told him we couldn’t go anymore and then I cancelled the trip and ate the cancellation fees.

    Well, those THREE deals that all DIED… Only God could have resurrected them and HE did by the end of the week!

    The other crucial piece of this AMAZING Testimony you are about to hear is that I made a choice that I was not going to waver and I was going to be fully committed to GOD – and I BEGAN SPENDING MORNING TIME WITH HIM. This is what CHANGED EVERYTHING.

    Starting Tuesday that week, I began spending the first minutes of each day in prayer and worship and allowing God to speak to me through his Word in the Bible. And HE did!

    First, He fixed those deals, because even thought they were dead, I promised God each morning that I would stay in peace and trust Him – and He came through!

    NOW HERE’S WERE IT GETS GOOD.

    At the end of the week, my car breaks down! I have had my car for 13 years because I do not believe in loans and I was waiting to buy my dream car in cash. WELL GOD HAD OTHER PLANS. The cost of fixing my car this time was thousands of dollars, which was way more than it was even worth. God was forcing me to get a new car…

    The problem (in the natural) was that I never use credit for anything and therefore have no credit to get a loan. I applied online and the only loan I got approved for was an 18% interest rate!

    Then, I started looking online for cars in the price range of my approval and I just could not settle for less than what I had been waiting 13 years for. I refused to settle!

    Meanwhile, the Word at church service was DO NOT SETTLE, GOD IS A BIG GOD AND HIS SUPPLY IS ENDLESS, AND HE WANTS YOU TO HAVE THE BEST!

    So, I take a bite out of my pride and call my mom to co-sign for me. She is awesome and her credit is pristine! If she co-signs, I would get a 1.9% interest rate and I could get the car of my dreams.

    I call her and she happily agrees bacause I never ask for help for anything, so she has been looking forward to any opportunity to help me forever. She was super excited that I was finally going to get a new car and also that she could help me out.

    Well, it turns out that my little brother had an American Express card that was tied to her name and someone recently stole it and ran up the credit, which neither my mother or my brother knew about, so it wound up going to collections. Literally one day after I ask my mom to help, she gets a call from a collection agency and finds out about this situation. She files a fraud case with American Express. When she goes to get the loan at the bank to co-sign for me, they refuse to give her a loan because of the current case pending.

    So now my car is broken beyond repair and I have no way to get the car I have been waiting 13 years to get. In the natural it looks like I am going to have to settle for less.

    I had been allowing this to stress me out a little, but God was with me every morning giving me Word to stay focused on my vision, and then my fiance says “What about your friend Telly?” And I said, “Oh Yeah!”

    I call Telly and he says “I got you, call this guy”. I call his guy who helps people get financing and give him my information. At this point, I got back in to trust mode with God too.

    I decided to not even worry about if I would be approved or if this guy would even help me. What was supposed to be 24 hours before he told me if I was approved turned in to 48 hours and then 72 hours and I didn’t care, I wasn’t worried. I had come to terms that I was either getting the new car of my dreams, or I wasn’t going to settle so I would just fix my car and keep it.

    Well, I got denied through each of this guy’s sources so he tells me to get an account at this credit union and run a loan app through them and he knew someone there that he could help push it through.

    By this point I was discourage after almost three weeks of this, the enemy was telling me that I didn’t deserve a new car and that I wasn’t going to get one.

    I put in the loan app with the credit union on Monday, no answer Tuesday, and no answer Wednesday, but that Wednesday night at church….
    The message was about HAVING A VISION, and during that service, she said… MAYBE YOU HAVE A VISION FOR A NEW CAR!! She didn’t list out a few things that you may have a vision for, she only said a new car!! I was totally invigorated and I knew that God wanted me to have a new car and I kicked the enemy and all of his doubt out of my mind!!!

    Thursday I got the word from the credit union!! I GOT APPROVED, and not only did I get approved, but I GOT A 6.75% INTEREST RATE!!! WHAT!!! PTL- PRAISE THE LORD!!! With the worst credit possible and everyone else denying me or giving me an 18% interest rate GOD moved!!

    The guy Telly set me up with did not even have to push anything through!!! I got the car of my dreams the next day (BMW Z4 HARD TOP COVERTIBLE THE NEW BODY STYLE)

    I saved the best for last….

    We realized that the guy that Telly set me up with… His name was Allah.

    At the end it was Allah (which means God) who directed me in the right direction to get the loan 🙂

    To whom that is reading this, I pray that you get hope, encouragement, vision, happiness, joy, good health, wisdom, knowledge, favor, and understanding. Stand on Gods words and quote them, so you can hear yourself saying them. Its written Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. All is done in Jesus name Amen.

    If your having a storm in your life. Im reminded of Jesus, when he was on a ship sleep during a storm. Can you picture Jesus in this little room while the ship just rocking back and forth during this mighty big storm. And your Lord Jesus had no worries he was knock out, relaxed, chilling getting his sleep on probably snoring, while all of this is happening. At the same time his crew members are all worried afraid with no faith.

    Bottom Line – God wants you to be happy, he put the desires in your heart…

    The testimony…

    I have never worked for anyone else my entire life. I had just gotten married, I had just stopped partying, the economy had just crashed, I had just become a Christian, and with all that I thought that I needed to be a responsible husband and therefore get a job because it wasn’t just me anymore, I had to make sure I could support both of us. So, I prayed to God to give me a job, and He did. Before I go on, the lesson at this point of the testimony is, to make sure that you know what you want because I could just have easily have prayed to God to strengthen my business or give me an idea for a new one.

    So for the next 2 years I did the 9 to 5 thing (which really turned out to be more like 6 to 6). I had always been very prideful my entire life, and I had learned in Church that pride was a sin. So I thought that God wanted me to work at this job because He was teaching me humility and how to be humble. Furthermore, my boss with a good Christian man, and also one of the smartest people I’ve ever met, so I did have respect for him. But, here was the bottom line…. I was miserable. It wasn’t my boss’s fault, and it wasn’t God’s fault, both of them gave me exactly what I asked for, which was a job. So all of that time I woke up each day and talked myself in to being grateful and happy. My wife knew I was unhappy and I told her and myself that it was ok, God was teaching me how to be humble, and He will let me know when it is time to move on.

    The BIG lie here was that I thought God was putting me through the fire to teach me something.

    The TRUTH is that God doesn’t put you through the fire, He brings you out.

    I’m not sure how I came to the realization, I think I was just fed up with my life (or lack of one) but it suddenly snapped. “God can’t want me to be this miserable” I thought to myself. And then I realized that God only wants GOOD things for us. God wants me to be HAPPY.

    And then it really hit me: I realized that God wasn’t waiting for me to learn a lesson from my job, He was waiting for me to leave my job and trust that He would provide for me.

    God had been sitting up there just wondering when I was going to trust Him enough to leave my job and work for myself again. And sure enough, after I had this epiphany, I got a daily devotional in my email that said “don’t let the Devil lie to you and tell you that you need to go through bad things to learn. God only wants GOOD for you and if it’s GOOD it’s GOD and if it’s not, it’s NOT.”

    And, although I had the utmost respect for my boss, and I felt really bad about leaving him, I finally quit a few weeks later. My flesh was telling me to wait to quit until I saved up some money in the bank and had a nice and safe cushion. But my Spirit was telling me that I was miserable and that if I really trusted God I would just go ahead and quit right now and just trust my Heavenly Father to provide as His Word promises.

    Well, I’m here to tell you that I followed my Spirit. With only a few hundred dollars in the bank, I quit. And I trusted God. And do you know what? My businesses started booming the second I quit and the next month I made twice as much money as I made at my job, and I was happy. I was still working the same amount of hours, if not more, but I was working for myself. And to me, that means a lot. Here I am now, several months later, and I have more cushion in the bank than I ever had over the 2 years of being on salary, and I also have 7 businesses that are all doing incredible. My only regret is that I didn’t trust my Spirit and God way earlier than 2 years. I didn’t trust that small voice inside of me that said you are miserable, do what will make you happy.

    So, my testimony and my advice, is that God wants you to be happy. So if you even have the smallest clue about what will make you happy, do it, and DO IT NOW! Trust that God gave you that desire and that He will always provide just like His Word says. DON’T PLAY IT SAFE!!! That’s your flesh trying to keep you from all that God has in store.

    You know it is way more risky to work for yourself, than to have a job that gives you a paycheck every 2 weeks. But one of the principles that I LOVE about business and life – THE GREATER THE RISK, THE GREATER THE REWARD!! Besides, if you truly trust God, there really is no risk in the first place!

    As a memeber of the United States Armed Forces, and going into battle I very much indeed have to thank the lord for what he has done. I know nothing I have thus far could have been obtained without him. I was deployed overseas to Iraq in Sept of 2007. At the time, my relationship with God was at its strongest point. I felt at that time I wanted for nothing. Soon as I returned home, it seemed like everything turned for the worst. I lost my job during a critical point, I lost my best friend in a time of war, and even the support of others around me. Then came a few strangers in my life that made things better. The encouragement and good words they spoke unto me quickly picked my spirits up and now I feel like I am gaining that relationship back that I once had with God. I know at times you have to go through in order to get through… I just thank God for being there every step of the way!

    For almost a month now I have been talking with God about how much power really lives in me. It all started at a Wednesday night bible study meeting where we talked about having faith that raises the dead.

    I left that night remembering all the stories the bible talks about where Jesus raised the dead, and then tied those to where in the bible Jesus says that we have the same power He has. Well long story short, one week on a Saturday evening, I went to a church in Spring Texas and the Pastor talked about exactly what I had been talking to God about, Faith that raises the dead. It was an awesome night for me. I had just received a break through. God told me that night that the Faith that I was looking for was real and possible.

    The next couple of weeks I still kept talking to God about that faith and my talks and questions with Him were getting deeper and very real… Finally, this past week after the bible study, a brother and I prayed together and I received my tongue…

    (tongues in the bible is a very special gift that we can ALL receive once we are baptized in the Holy Ghost. It is a unique, personal and very intimate language that our spirits use to talk to God with.) Okay, so now I had my tongue and from Wed. night to Sunday morning. I spoke as much as possible with that tongue for practice and just because it was FUN! I was so excited that I finally had a very special gift that would equip my spirit with more power to do Gods mighty works!

    And here is where my faith was tested. Sunday after church I was going to work out at the gym and after arriving at the gym, I decided to go jogging outside at the park because the weather was beautiful. On my way to the park, there was a man in a motorcycle behind my car. Well, that Saturday morning I had taken some window paint and just for fun, I wrote on the back of my window, “Jesus is The Way.” I glanced behind me and noticed that the man on the motorcycle was reading the message. Soon there after, he passed me and was riding in front of my car. We get to an intersection and our lights were green and we both proceeded to drive on through the intersection. In just a matter of seconds the whole world as I knew it stopped! The birds froze in the air, all cars stopped, and all the rain drops froze through mid air and all I saw moving was the guy in the motorcycle flying in the air because a truck had run the red light and the motorcyclist wrecked into him.

    I had seconds to think about what I was going to do, and in my heart I knew that God was watching me and here was the oppurtunity that would build up my faith. I jumped out of my car, ran through the rain to the man on the ground and dropped to my knees and started praying. I did not touch him, and did not pray in english… the language that came out was my tongue. Soon, there was a crowd around the man and the people were in shock. They were confused and without direction on how to handle the situation. I just kept praying in my tongue and for a second spoke in english and told others if they knew how to pray to pray for this man. A woman started praying and another man next to me was praying as well. The man that was hit should had to of died. He went flying in the air and landed on his back. If he was not to die, then he should had of been paralyzed. But GOD. The man got up, took off his helmet, and was in shock. All he kept saying was, “this has never happened to me before!” And as he was saying that I was still praying but thinking, “Of course that has never happened to you before!” Well, I saw that he was alive and 110% healthy, so I told him he was going to be okay, and ran to my car and left.

    Friends, was my faith tested? Yes. I believe the whole situation was supposed to happen, and God was there waiting for me to “USE” The Power He so graciously gives us. All of this is because of the Relationship I have with God.

    I do not have a religion. I have a relationship with Him. There is more to this world than just religion. If we are children of the Most High God, and he says that He gives us the same power that conquered the grave, then I want it. Whatever the bible says that I can have, I want it. And all other supernatural things God has and I am able to have, I want it. Walking on water? I want it. Flying? I want it. It is a lot to ask of God, but He is my daddy and I love him so much that I want to be able to glorify Him wherever I go, however that may be. All the Glory goes to my King Jesus. I never got the name of the man. But what I do know is that He knows that Jesus is The Way.
